Ahmad Salkida Exposes Nigeria Army’s False Claim on Killing Leah Sharibu’s Abductor

Ahmad-Salkida-false-claims-leah-sharibuPopular journalist known for being into reporting infos on the battle against Boko Haram insurgents, Ahmad Salkida has exposed Nigeria army for making false claims on killing Boko Haram leader that abducted Leah Sharibu and other Dapchi school girls.

Yesterday, reports went round media houses that Ahmad Sale aka Baban Hassan was killed, the exact post read:

The Nigerian Army said on Saturday that the Media Chief, Ahmad Sale, of the Boko Haram factional group was killed in an operation by troops in conjunction with personnel of the Nigerian Air Force.

“Reports available reveal that one Sale Ahmad Sale a. k. a. Baban Hassan, the leader of Al-Barnawi media group, a faction of Boko Haram was killed by a joint operation conducted by the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Air Force,” it said.

The Army added: “The killing of the media leader is indicative of efforts by the NA to eliminate key members of the sect.

Well, according to Salkida, the above report is false, and that Baban Hassan was killed on the 3rd of November, 2017.

His post reads:

Dear Nigerian military, you killed Baban Hassan on a Friday night, 3rd November 2017. His death and that of several other leaders of the group was known next day. Announcing this as breaking news and linking him with the abduction of Leah Sharibu in November 2018 is preposterous.
