Customs Promotes Officer for Rejecting ₦151m Bribe

The Nigerian Customs Service has promoted Comptroller Bashir Abubakar of Apapa Area Command to an Assistant Comptroller General (ACG).

The promotion comes after the officer rejected bribe. He was said to have rejected $420,000 from a drug trafficking cartel, to take delivery of 41 smuggled containers of Tramadol.

Bashir’s dedication to service is laudable.
