Nigerians Chastise Olamide, Lil Kesh for Promoting Yahoo and Ritual Killing on ‘Logo Benz’

Lil Kesh ft Olamide - Logo BenzNigerians on social media have called out rapper, Olamide Adedeji and fellow label mate, Lil Kesh over the insensitive nature of the lyrics of their latest single “Logo Benz'”.

While we couldn’t translate the lyrics of the song first-hand, many online users who are conversant with the Yoruba language maintained the song promotes “ritual killings” and “internet fraud” popularly referred to as “Yahoo Yahoo”.

Part of the lyrics in question reads:

“If money no enter I go do blood money”

This isn’t the first time a song is said to glorify money rituals or promote internet fraud, below is a list of some of the songs already flagged:

– Yahooze by Olu Maintain

– Maga don Pay by Kelly Handsome

– Living Things by 9ice

Also, “Wetin we gain” by Victor AD and “Able God” by Chinko Ekun which dropped earlier this year, received huge criticism for also the exact same thing.

Below are some tweet reactions to the ongoing exchange on Social media:
